Terms of Service

Last updated: October 13, 2026

These Terms govern your use of LiveBill, a mobile app developed by InnoVision Labs ("we", "us"). By signing in and using the app, you agree to these Terms.

The service

LiveBill helps sellers and customers share a live view of a bill while a sale is in progress and keeps each party's most recent completed sales (see "Your sales and purchase history" below). LiveBill is a transparency tool — it does not process payments, hold funds, or guarantee that a transaction occurred outside the app.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use LiveBill. Before you can sign in or create an account you confirm that you are, and that you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, by ticking a box — you can't sign in or create an account without it, and an account created before that box existed is asked once, the next time the app opens. We do not knowingly provide the service to, or collect information from, anyone under 18 — see the "Age restrictions" section of our Privacy Policy.

Roles

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. If you sign in with a LiveBill password account rather than Google, that includes choosing a password you don't reuse elsewhere and keeping it confidential. Password accounts must verify the email address used to sign up — via a one-time link we send to that address — before the account can be used; Google accounts are already verified and skip this step. For security, an account can only be signed in on one device at a time — signing in on a new device automatically signs out any other device using the same account, unless that device is in the middle of a sale, in which case the new sign-in is refused until the sale is finished.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

To enforce this, the app applies automatic fair-use limits — on how many bills you can start, item changes you can make, PINs you can try, and sales you can cancel within a given period. Normal use stays well inside them; if you do reach one, the app tells you and the limit lifts on its own after a while.

A bill that is still being built ends automatically if it sits idle for 10 minutes, with an on-screen warning and countdown first; when that happens the sale is cancelled for both parties and a new bill can be started. A bill that is awaiting payment is never ended for being idle. Making an unusually high number of changes in a short time is limited, to protect the service — the app tells you, and the limit lifts on its own.

No sale may run longer than one hour from when its bill was started. The seller is warned five minutes and one minute before the hour is up; at the hour the sale is cancelled for both parties, including a bill that is awaiting payment. A cancelled sale creates no invoice, so a seller should mark a sale paid as soon as payment is received.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the service or other users.

No payment processing

Any payment between buyer and seller happens outside LiveBill (cash, UPI, card, or other methods you choose). LiveBill is not a bank, payment gateway, or escrow service. We are not responsible for disputes about payment, delivery, or refunds.

Bills and invoices

The bills, receipts and invoices LiveBill shows and saves as PDFs are a record of a sale between the seller and the customer, kept for transparency between them. They are ordinary sale bills and receipts — not tax invoices, GST invoices or fiscal receipts. LiveBill does not calculate GST or any other tax and has no GSTIN field, and every PDF says that it is not a tax invoice. Sellers remain responsible for deciding whether they need to register for GST, and for issuing any tax invoice or receipt that the law applying to them requires.

Your sales and purchase history

Each party keeps a completed sale in their history while it is among their 10 most recent. Older sales leave the history automatically — including earlier sales from the same day, so the dashboard's "Today" totals count only the sales still in it. You can delete sales from your own history at any time: the other party keeps their copy, and a sale is deleted from LiveBill once neither party has it. Save a PDF of any invoice you want to keep longer.

Advertising

LiveBill is free to use and shows ads served through Google AdMob. By using the app you agree to view ads as part of the free service. This includes banner ads along the bottom of most screens, full-screen ads at natural break points, and optional rewarded ads you may choose to watch (below). Full-screen ads are never shown while a bill is being built or during checkout.

Customers see a full-screen ad after a completed purchase, as they leave their receipt — never in front of it. Sellers see that ad, as they leave the Payment Received screen, only while the account owes something — when the hour in which the sale happened has not already earned several times what the account cost to run in ads, or an earlier hour's shortfall is still outstanding. Outside that, a full-screen ad may appear at a natural break point — for sellers, picking a role or returning to the dashboard (never as the app opens on it); for either role, saving an invoice from history as a PDF — while the account's usage in that hour, or an earlier hour that fell short, has not been covered by its ads (usage counts as covered once its ads have earned several times what it cost), and never more than one every ten minutes. Saving a receipt as a PDF straight after a sale never shows one. There is no daily limit on the number of ads shown.

Rewarded ads and fair use. If an account has used more of the service than its ads have covered, tapping the button that starts a new bill or joins one first offers you a short, optional ad. Watching it to the end clears what the account owes, so the full-screen ads that appear only while an account owes something stop until it builds up again. Small uncovered usage adds up across hours, and the offer is made once it reaches a limit; hours whose ads more than cover their cost pay that balance back down. You may always decline: choosing "No thanks", closing the ad early, or no ad being available all start the sale straight away. The offer is made at most once per tap, and only between sales, never during one. A separate upper limit applies to how much of the service a single account may use in a calendar month; it is set far above ordinary use and exists to prevent a single account running up unbounded costs.

We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content of individual ads shown by AdMob. See the Privacy Policy for how ad-related data is handled.

Premium subscription (planned)

LiveBill is currently offered as a single free, ad-supported tier — there is no paid version at this time. A premium subscription is planned for a future release, adding more advanced features and substantially reducing the ads you see.

Premium is not intended to be a fully ad-free tier. LiveBill's running costs scale with how much an account actually uses the service, so where usage is heavy enough to exceed what a subscription covers, ads will still appear on that account to offset those costs. Ordinary day-to-day use is not expected to reach that point.

Pricing, the final feature list, and the purchase terms that will govern any subscription will be published before that tier becomes available, and these Terms will be updated before it applies to you. Nothing in this section is a commitment to release the tier, to do so on any particular timescale, or to include any particular feature.

Accuracy and availability

LiveBill is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that displayed bill data is complete or accurate. Sellers and customers should confirm amounts and items before completing a sale.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, InnoVision Labs and LiveBill will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim (typically zero, as LiveBill is free).

Account deletion

You may delete your account from the app menu, unless you currently have a bill open or in checkout — finish or leave that sale first. Deletion removes your profile, including your saved shop details and the usage and ad-frequency data held against your account, removes every sale from your history, and signs you out. A sale still in the other party's history stays there for them until it leaves their history too, as described above and in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Nothing in them takes away any protection that the consumer law of the place where you live gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
